The next TWHF Conference will be held on May 13th 2017 at the fantastic Wallsend Memorial Hall.

Our Keynote Speakers will be The Viscount Ridley DL, John Grundy and The Rt Hon. the Lord Beith.

The Conference will be a celebration of the industrial and social heritage of Tyne & Wear and the wider region and will feature :

  • Lessons from the ongoing community projects supported by the Forum

  • Presentations of best practice for local heritage groups

  • Keynote Speakers - Lord Alan Beith and Viscount Matt Ridley

  • Our Popular Workshops

The Conference is Supported by Historic England

Free Car Parking will be available on the nearby old Swan Hunters site

Last year the Newcastle & Northumberland Society was asked to support the Killingworth Local History Society in their campaign to have the Locomotive sculpture restored and placed in a prominent part of the town.
